Course Description

This course is designed to introduce trainees to the technical and creative aspects of tailoring and fashion design. It will equip learners with foundational and advanced skills in garment construction, pattern drafting, fabric selection, cutting, stitching, and the business of fashion. Whether you aim to become a fashion entrepreneur or work in a fashion house, this course prepares you for excellence in the industry.


Pre-Course Requirements & Target Group

Trainees aged 16 and above with basic literacy. No prior experience in fashion or tailoring is required. However, those with a creative flair, interest in fashion, or prior sewing experience will benefit greatly. Suitable for school leavers, OND/HND holders, and entrepreneurs seeking to launch their fashion brands.


Course Duration

12 Weeks | Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Mode of Delivery

  • Hands-on practical training in pattern drafting, sewing, and garment design

  • Classroom presentations and visual demonstrations

  • One-on-one mentorship by experienced fashion designers

  • Video tutorials and fashion shows

  • Team-based garment creation exercises


Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion, trainees will:

Assessment

  • Continuous practical assessments

  • Final fashion project and runway presentation

  • Multiple-choice examination on garment theory


Certificate

On completion, learners will receive a Santify Certificate
(Eligible to start own business or work in a fashion design firm)
